Tuna patties are a tasty and healthy meal that can be made in no time at all. Whether you’re in the mood for something light and flavorful or looking for a quick weeknight meal, tuna patties are the perfect choice. To help you make the perfect patties, we’ve compiled some tips and tricks that will take your recipe to the next level.

  1. Choose the Right Tuna

When making patties, it’s important to choose the right type of tuna. We recommend using canned tuna in water or olive oil, as they’re usually the most flavorful and easy to work with. You can also use fresh tuna if you prefer, but it may require some extra preparation.

  1. Use the Right Binders

To ensure that your tuna patties hold together during cooking, it’s important to use the right binders. Common binders include breadcrumbs, eggs, and mayonnaise. You can also use mashed potatoes or cooked rice if you prefer.

  1. Don’t Overmix the Ingredients

When making the tuna mixture, it’s important not to overmix the ingredients. This can cause the patties to become tough and dry. Mix the ingredients until they’re just combined, and avoid excessive mixing or mashing.

  1. Form the Patties Tightly

When forming the patties, it’s important to pack them tightly. This will help them hold together during cooking and prevent them from falling apart. Use your hands to shape the patties and press them firmly, but be careful not to compress them too much.

  1. Cook on a Medium-High Heat

To get the perfect crispy texture, it’s important to cook the tuna patties on a medium-high heat. This will ensure that they’re cooked through and golden brown on the outside. Avoid cooking them on low heat, as this can cause them to become soggy and unappetizing.

  1. Serve with Your Favorite Sides

Tuna patties are versatile and can be served with a variety of sides. Some great options include a side salad, roasted vegetables, or a side of rice. Experiment with different flavors and textures to find the perfect combination for your taste.

In conclusion, tuna patties are a simple and delicious meal that can be made in no time at all. By following these tips and tricks, you’ll be able to make perfect tuna patties every time.
