Happy Holidays everyone! With Christmas just around the corner, we wanted to share a delicious recipe for scones that is perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat during the holidays. In this video we make these delicious scones from scratch, and we hope you'll give them a try! Get ready to impress your family and friends with your baking skills. Merry Christmas and happy baking! Preheat your oven to 220C/fan 200C and lightly butter a baking sheet. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Cut in the butter and rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles a fine crumb. Stir in the sugar. In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk and milk. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in most of the buttermilk mixture, reserving a little bit in case it is not needed. Gently work the mixture together until it forms a soft, almost sticky dough. Knead the dough a few times to smooth out any cracks. Pat the dough out to a thickness of 2-2.5cm and use a round fluted cutter to cut out the scones. Place them on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until risen and golden. Serve with strawberry jam and clotted cream.Scones
