The beauty of a simple recipe like baked ftira is the crunchiness of the bread mixed with the unique flavour of the Maltese sausage. Can be enjoyed as a bbq appetizer or a tasty lunch by the sea.

Ingredients

  • 1 Maltese Ftira
  • 3 Maltese sausages
  • 2 tbsp Milk Cream Cheese
  • 80g Fior di Vita Mozzarella
  • fresh parsley
  • mixed Italian Herbs
  • Made for Meat Aji Panca Chili

Instructions

Cut the ftira horizontally in half

Remove casing from sausages and add the meat into a bowl

Add the cream cheese, Made for Meat sauce, Italian herbs

Spread the mix on your bread slices and place them on a baking tray.

Bake for 10 mins at 180C

Add the Fior di Vita shredded mozzarella on top of your ftira and bake for another 5 mins or until the cheese has melted.

Serve with some chopped parsley on top.
